Isabel Jacobs is a philosopher and writer focusing on Central and Eastern Europe. She is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Philosophy, German-Jewish Studies, and Translation Theory at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and a Research Scholar with the Northwestern University Research Initiative in Russian Philosophy, Literature, and Religious Thought.

She earned her PhD from Queen Mary University of London. She has held visiting research fellowships at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Prague), the Institute of Contemporary History (Ljubljana), the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow (Leipzig), the Centre Marc Bloch (Berlin), and the DFK – German Center for Art History (Paris).

She also serves as Associate Editor of Studies in East European Thought.
